Welcome to Bored Ants, an invite-only cooperative voice game operated by Carpathian Salt L.T.D. ("we", "us", or "our"). This policy clearly explains what information we collect, how your microphone is used, and how we protect your privacy.

1. The No-Account Guarantee

You do not need an account to play Bored Ants. If a friend sends you an invite link, you can join their crew at /play/ in your browser immediately. Temporary session records and room tokens expire automatically when you leave.

2. What We Collect (If You Sign Up)

If you optionally choose to sign up for our companion social features, we store:

• Account credentials: Your email address, chosen display name, and ant avatar.
• Friends & Invites: Your reciprocal friend list and pending room invitations so you can invite each other with one tap.
• Push tokens: If you grant notification permission, we store a Firebase Cloud Messaging (FCM) token to alert you when a friend invites you to play.

3. Microphone and Voice Data

Bored Ants uses your device's microphone exclusively for:

• Spatial voice chat: Transmitting live WebRTC audio directly to your crew members during the mission.
• Spoken gameplay commands: Parsing short commands ("go", "stop", "grab", "hide") to control your ant in real time.

We do not record, archive, sell, or train public AI models on your private voice audio. Microphone streams are strictly ephemeral session data. You can mute your microphone or revoke browser permission at any time.

4. Privacy for Children and Families

Bored Ants is designed as a safe, family-friendly game. In accordance with the UK Data Protection Act (UK GDPR) and the Information Commissioner's Office (ICO) Children's Code:

• There is no public matchmaking with strangers.
• There are no browsable public directories of users or player profiles.
• We collect only the bare minimum data necessary to provide cooperative gameplay.

5. Service Providers

We work with trusted infrastructure providers under strict confidentiality agreements:

• Google Firebase: Authentication, cloud functions, and web hosting.
• LiveKit: Ephemeral WebRTC audio transport for low-latency voice coordination.

6. Your Rights and Choices

You have complete control over your information:

• Delete Account: You can permanently delete your account and all associated friends and data instantly from the Settings menu in the app.
• Permissions: You can revoke microphone and push notification permissions at any time through your browser settings.
